“Good
Speeches don’t just touch the mind, they touch the heart”
In keeping with the resonance of the words, a speech
competition was organized on August 21, 2025 in the hall of St. Peter’s School
and College for classes VI, VII and VIII showcasing students strong oratory
skill with well structured and delivered speeches on various topics.
The orators from class VI showcased their
spectacular linguistic abilities on the topic “Honesty in the best policy”. The
orators from class VII spoke on the topic” Action speaks louder than words” and
class VIII orators spoke on the topic “All that glitters is not gold.” The
participants with a mix of finalists from classes actively demonstrated a high
level of engagement and enthusiasm. They delivered speeches with confidence
demonstrating their ability to articulate thoughts and ideas effectively. The
parameters for judging were content, fluency, presentation and confidence.
The event provided an opportunity to develop passion
for public speaking skill and gain confidence.
The winners were recognized for their outstanding
performance.
Class VI: - Siddhi Pandey grabbed the first
position. Swastika the second position and Rudrika
Nath and Kavya Singh were placed at the third
Position.
Class VII: - Vedaant Mishra and Arohi Jaiswal were
the winners of the first position, Enaya
Niyaz
bagged the second position and Saanvi Singh the third position.
Class VIII: - The first position was secured by
Chaavi Singh, the second position by
Sweksha and the third position by
Vaibhav Singh.
At the end of the event, the judges Rev. Sr.
Susheela Remy and Sir Francis Rego encouraged the students with their sincere
advice and the event ended on an optimistic note.
Over all, the speech competition showcased students’
talents and passion for public speaking.
