Description:
Van Mahotsava themed “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was celebrated with great enthusiasm in St. Peter’s School & College on July 19, 2025. The event started as a crusade to save Mother Earth aimed at raising awareness about encouraging tree plantation & promoting environmental conservation through various activities.
The students Nandita Nigam, Anushka Sonkar & Ojasvi Singh of grade 10th D during a special assembly with the objectives tried to emphasize the need for planting trees. A skit “Save Mother Earth” showcasing the importance of tree plantation was screened to educate students and save Mother Earth. A poem emphasizing the role of tree was recited by Pratishtha Shukla to foster a sense of responsibility towards Nature. Maira Sheikh & Aliza Sheikh focussed on the fact to enable all of us to think.
Number of sapplings of diverse species brought by the students were planted in and around the school premises with energetic participation of the students and few sapplings were distributed to the parents too.
The drive/compaign came out as a resounding success effectively raising awareness about environmental conservation and inspiring students to become active in protecting nature under the guidance of our principal Rev. Fr. Jacob Bona D’Souza & Mrs. Tanuja Dwivedi.
