Description: “Art & Science are two fundamental expressions of the human spirit, reflecting our innate desire to understand & express the world around us”. With this thought the Scientia Club & Art Club of St. Peter’s School & College, Raebareli organized “Lumen Artis Et Scientiae” for classes 6 to 12 on November 26, 2024 under the supervision of our honourable principal, Rev. Fr. Reginald D’Souza & the chief Co-ordinator, Mr, Pawan Agnihotri. On the pleasant morning, in the college premises the Art, Craft & Science exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Amrita Singh (PCS) ADM (Finance & Revenue) Reabareli & the Guest of Honour Rev. Fr. John Lobo manager, St. Peter’s School & College, Raebareli in a ceremonial manner. The Art, Craft & Science exhibition witnessed great enthusiasm & blooming participation from children of diverse classes who had the unique opportunity of exploring as well as expressing their scientific ideas in the form of models (working & non working) & projects related to biology of human body, chemical reactions, physical phenomena & more. This Mega event led the children from the realms of theory into the arena of practicum. The Students displayed their creative scientific potential in diverse areas revolving around the themes of contemporary significance namely, sources of energy & their Conservation, Health, Disaster Management etc. The exhibition ignited the theme of the scientific lamp of inquisitiveness in students & gave them a platform to give concrete dimensions to their ideas from the zone of imagination to realism through wide variety of scientific concept, principals & their application. Divine Providence School, Raebareli was also invited to witness the exhibition. The judges Mr. Adarsh Singh, Lecturer in Physics, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Raebareli; Mr. Vivek Srivastava, professor Feroz Gandhi College, Reabareli appreciated the hard work & enthusiasm of the students and gave impartial of engament. The Art gallery was the centre of attraction for the dignitaries, judges & the audience when it comes to art & craft from splashes of vibrant hues, paintings, sketched portraits, paper flowers, articles made of eco friendly material students made glass paintings, vibrant wall hangings & mural paintings to embellish the art gallery. Our Budding Artists had put up a fantastic array of artifacts & had presented many creative ideas which left the viewers dumbstruck & full of praise for the talent on display under their teachers’ guidance. Hats off to all the teachers and most specially the Science Teachers: Mrs. Tanuja Dwivedi, Mrs, Neeta Mishra, Miss Hina, Mrs. Nupur Mehrotra, Mrs. Anjali Awasthi and all the students for making this event/exhibition a grand success.
