77TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
St. Peter’s School & College celebrated the 77th Independence day with national fervor, pomp and grandeur. The school was decorated with flags, slogans and balloons that made our hearts swell with pride. The chief Guest of the day Honourable Mr. Uma Shankar Kahar, the Additional Judge/Secretary, District legal services Authority, Raebareli accompanied by the principal and the Headmistress was escorted by the school Cabinet to the flag post where he hoisted the tri colour National Flag with the Dharma Chakra symbolic of strength, peace & growth being followed by the NATIONAL ANTHEM. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Reginald D,Souza welcomed the chief guest- of the day cordially by presenting a bouquet of flowers. This auspicious day was marked with an array of messages/speeches by the chief guest and the principal that encapsulated patriotism hope, the value of sacrifice, honesty and gratitude towards the Motherland. There was a feeling of Pride and Patriotism in everyone’s heart. Speeches and poems depicting patriotic feelings were presented. Songs and dances were performed. Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice-Head boy Vimarsh Shukla. The School Anthem was sung to conclude the celebration. “May the spirit of freedom guide us to success and happiness May we become the Light into ourself and a friend in our neighbourhood”.
